What Affects the Price?

Most of the time the quote is straightforward. Occasionally something affects it - here's what and why.

Location. Travel within the included zone - roughly two hours from Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Adelaide - is built into the price. Regional venues, interstate shows requiring flights, or overnight stays are quoted separately. The quote specifies exactly what's included before anything is confirmed.

Event size. This is the main driver. Larger rooms are priced higher. Past about 350 people the show moves to house AV rather than my own system, and those events are quoted individually. Groups under 36 are also quoted case by case.

Date. January through March bookings are often at the lower end of the range. Sunday, Monday and post-Christmas dates are often available at reduced rates - worth asking.

Charities and fundraisers. Considered case by case. Inquire directly.

  • Are these prices GST-inclusive?
    It depends on the client. For corporate clients, prices are quoted exclusive of GST and GST (10%) is added to the invoice. For sports clubs, licensed clubs and community organisations, prices are quoted inclusive of GST. The quote will state which applies to your booking.
  • Do you charge extra for travel?
    Travel within approximately two hours of Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, and several other major cities is included in the quoted price. Regional locations, interstate shows requiring flights, and overnight stays are quoted separately and specified in the proposal before anything is confirmed.
  • Is a deposit required to secure the date?
    Not always. For most bookings no deposit is required. For dates that are in high demand or where the logistics are more complex, a deposit may be requested to hold the date. This will be stated in the quote.
